FAIRWAYS
A ball lying on the fairway MUST, without penalty, be either:
Lifted and moved to the semi-rough to the nearest side of the fairway on which the ball lies OR
Placed on a fairway mat (teeing up on the mat is permitted). This must not be nearer the hole. The ball may be cleaned, and once moved or placed is deemed to be in play.

It is the player's descision, for each shot, whether they lift and place in the semi-rough or use a fairway mat.

Any golfer found or reported for not using a mat when playing from the fairway during the winter season will be disciplined.

WHITE LINES - Front of the Green
The "preferred lies" rule applies in this area but a mat can be used if preferable.

However, please note that no balls are to be played, with or without a mat, from the area within the white line in front of the 12th green (balls must be be taken to the side).

WHITE LINES - Trolleys
To protect the course when using a trolley, please always walk on paths and do not walk over areas marked for repair. Please also do not take trolleys past the white lines at the front of the greens.

*** DO NOT TAKE A TROLLEY PAST THE WHITE LINES ***

WRONG PUTTING GREEN
Any putting green (including winter greens) on which a ball is lying other than the putting green in use for the hole being played is a wrong putting green. The ball MUST be lifted off the green and dropped, without penalty, within one club length from the edge of the green nearest to where the ball originally lay, but not nearer the hole.

EMBEDDED BALL
On a closely mown area, through the green, a ball which is embedded in it's own pitch mark in the ground, other than sand, may be lifted, without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it originally lay, but not nearer the hole.

THROUGH THE GREEN
"Through the green" is the whole area of the course except the teeing ground and putting green of the hole being played and all hazards.

AERATION HOLES
On the putting green, if a ball lies in an aeration hole, a player may place the ball on a spot not nearer the hole, which avoids the situation.

TEE BOXES
A ball landing on a tee box MUST be lifted and dropped from the tee without penalty.
